Glór na nGael collaborates with voluntary committees and individual families around Ireland, advising them on language planning and best practice. These committees work with them to create an Irish speaking community on a local basis.

This scheme is suitable for them in their efforts to create that community in the areas in which they operate. Families can participate in the Home Language scheme by creating networks of families who come together socially on a regular basis through Irish.

The community committees can send an application to participate in the scheme to Glór na nGael on behalf of the families.

Or if any group of families are interested in receiving support to strengthen, expand and develop Irish language family networks in the area, they can contact and they will be put in touch with the Development Officer for the area towards getting support and advice.
